About the Family

What started as 2 kids from Tuttle has turned into a not so perfect, sometimes messy, but usually full of laughter little family. After marriage we added a perfect a little basset hound, and an even better little baby girl. We love our real life!

DIY Scrapbook Letters

I have to admit, as soon as Zach and I found out we were having a girl, my nesting instinct kicked in.  Except instead of nesting, all I want to do is craft.  I have spent countless hours exploring blogs, Pintrest, and Etsy looking for things I can make.  One of the first things I wanted to make were letters spelling "Maggie" to hang on the wall.  I have seen them all over Etsy, but wanted to be crafty and make them myself. So easy...

I bought the letters for her name and some Mod Podge at Hobby Lobby, then found some various scrapbook papers I had laying around the house.

Once you have the paper picked out and arranged how you like it, trace the letters onto the paper to cut them to fit.  This step is probably easier if you have an exacto-knife, but i just used regular scissors.

Mod Podge the front and back of the paper and apply directly to the letter.  If you have any embellishments laying around (I spray painted some buttons) add those too for a nice little touch!

Finally, to hang just hot glue some extra ribbons to the back and you are ready to decorate!

My Pregnancy Craving - Homemade Ice Cream!

I am officially into my third trimester, and one of the questions I get asked the most is "What are you craving?"  My answer?  Ice Cream!  Although,  can it really be considered a pregnancy craving when I wanted it all the time before I was pregnant?  Lucky for me, we have a homemade ice cream maker that my husband can't say no to.  After we bought all the ingredients the first time around, homemade ice cream is now a cheap little treat to satisfy that "craving" whenever the need occurs.

Now you tell me, am I just pregnant or does this look delicious?
